This is an example of the type of in formation I will be giving you about the Accelerated Reading
once we get started. We have to get each student tested so that each student can start on their
appropriate level.

Please encourage your child to check out books, read, and take a test on their Accelerated Reading
book. We want each to try to read and take a test at least once per week. WE are going to start
charting the books read by each student. Lets see how many stars they can accumulate!

This year your child will be reading Accelerated Reading Books. Below is an
example of the achievements they can make during the course of the year. I
will be explaining this in more detail on Tuesday evening at the Open House.
EXAMPLE
Many students are reading away! Thanks to the help of our AR parents,several
students have read and taken a test on several books!! These students are
listed as follows: Devin, Bryan, Jessie, Gali, Misaki, Justin, Diana,
Danielle, Wibari, Andrew B., Evan, Andrew W., Justin, Jay, Jason, John, and
Sydney.
Many students have scored 100% on their AR tests. They are listed below
along with the number of 100%'s they have attained.
