I have taught school for many years. I earned my Masters of Education degree
in 1984. This year is my 31st year of teaching. I have lived and taught in
three states. I taught in North Carolina for seven years. We moved to
Richmond, Virginia and I taught there three years. Then we moved to Georgia
where I have taught to the present time. I have taught in two other county
school systems, and 2 years in a city schools environment. I was nominated to
and became a Who's Who Among America's teachers.
This year at East Side I serve on the School Climate Committee. I am a
member of the Math Extensions focus group. I tutor in the After School
tutoring program.
I have a son. His name is Stephen. He was born in Richmond, Virginia.
Stephen is a graduate of the Cobb County Schools System. He is currently a
freshman in college. I also have three sisters. They all live in North
Carolina. Two of them are older than me.
My mission for the class is to aide them in their quest of becoming
productive members of our society. I want to foster independence,
creativity, and individuality in each student.
