I am an Atlanta native and a graduate of the University of Georgia. My husband's name is Charlie. I
have 4 children. My three boys graduated from Georgia Tech and my daughter graduated from
UGA. Melissa teaches First Grade in Alpharetta, Georgia. My oldest son, Brock, received his PhD in
Civil Engineering/Marine Ecology at Georgia Tech. He has lived in an underwater sea lab in the
Florida Keys for 10 days and has been a volunteer diver at the new Georgia Aquarium! He now lives
in Hawaii and Santa Cruz, California where he is a Marine Ecologist working to preserve the ecology
of the Pacific Ocean. My other two sons are married. Mike lives in Seattle, Washington where he
works in technology and finance. Clint lives in Washington, D.C where is a builder working at the
Pentagon. This is my sixth year at East Side Elementary. I have been teaching for twenty-two years.
I have taught in Cobb for eighteen years. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Third and Fifth.
Kindergarten is definitely my favorite!
