I am an Atlanta native and a graduate of the University of Georgia. My husband's name is Charlie. I
have 4 children. My three boys graduated from Georgia Tech and my daughter graduated from
UGA. Melissa teaches First Grade in Alpharetta, Georgia. She was married in June. My oldest son, Brock,
received his PhD in Civil Engineering/Marine Ecology at Georgia Tech. He has lived in an underwater
sea lab in the Florida Keys for 10 days and has been a volunteer diver at the Georgia Aquarium! He now
lives in Palo Alto, California where he is a Marine Ecologist at Stanford University. My son, Mike, lives in
Seattle, Washington with his wife Sarah. They have twin girls, Macie and Caroline. My youngest son,
Clint, lives in Washington, D.C. where he is Project Manager working on updates on the Pentagon.
This is my seventh year at East Side Elementary. I have been teaching for twenty-four years. I have
taught in Cobb for nineteen years. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Third, Fifth and Sixth.
Kindergarten is definitely my favorite!
