About The Teacher

NAME: Ms. Agnew and Ms. Mattocks

SCHOOL: East Side Elementary

CLASS: Fourth Grade

About The Teachers

From Ms. Agnew:
I am thrilled to be teaching at East Side Elementary. I have returned to
teaching in the public school system after seven years of working with
international students at a private school in Roswell. As much
as I enjoyed my work there I am astounded at how good life gets because I am
even happier here with my fourth graders. When I'm not at school, I enjoy
spending time with my family and friends. My two sons are my truest delight.
Hayden graduated from Pope in 2008 and has been studying at the University of
North Carolina in Chapel Hill since then. Sam is a senior at Wheeler and is
looking forward to continuing playing baseball in college next year. I am
very proud of both of them.

About Mrs. Mattocks:
I am so excited to be at East Side for my fourth year of teaching! I grew up
in East Cobb and attended school at Murdock, Dodgen and Pope. I received my
undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 2006-GO TIGERS!

I LOVE fourth grade! I enjoy getting to know my students and passing on to
them a love of learning. When I'm not at school, I most enjoy scrapbooking,
reading a good book, watching college football, and spending time with my
dogs Riggs and Sophie. I can't wait to see what this year will unfold!

Mission For The Class

We will be concentrating on East Side's belief of building the 3 Rs,
relationships, responsibility and respect. Along with the 3 Rs our class
will also be working on organization, good decision making skills, the
art of problem solving, and compassion for others.
