Homework

Students will record their homework in their planners every day for each
class. Reminding you to sign their planner each evening is your child's
responsibility.

At a minimum, third graders are expected to read for 15 minutes each
evening and practice their math facts for 10 minutes every day.
On Mondays, everything known for the week in advance is posted on the classroom
planner and the students are instructed to update their planner at this time. This
way specials are known in advance as well as any tests.
Your child will have homework in Math each night except Friday. The purpose is
to provide practice on the skill we worked on in class that day.
Because homework is given as a practice tool for students, you can best help them
by allowing them to do the work. If they appear to be having a problem with the work,
feel free to work with them and let me know so that I can work with them as well to be
sure they understand the concept. I check my emails before school, during planning and
after school.
