Every Monday I will write all the information I have about upcoming homework on the class planner. Students
will have time to copy this in their individual planners every Monday. This way everyone has advance notice of
what the week looks like. Specials will be on the web calendar but also in their planners. One of our goals in
third grade is to teach responsibility, so we want them to be the one who comes to you after they have
completed their homework for you to review it, and only then may they ask for you to sign their planner.
Please do not sign the planners in advance. I give homework as a practice tool. You can help your child and
me by allowing them to do the work. If they appear to be having a problem, feel free to work with them.
If you feel you need to contact me, please email me at mary.lipscomb@cobbk12.org .
