Homework

                      Mrs. Mercure's Homework Expectations

Homework is an integral part of the learning process. It is used to
reinforce what has been taught in the classroom. Homework in my class
consists of the following:(But is not limited too)

Students should read for at least 20-30 minutes a night. This does not have
to be done in one long session. It can be broken down into 2-3 10 minute
sessions.

Book reports will be given out starting in January. Students
will receive the "book report" form on Monday, with the expectation, that it
will be completed and turned in by Friday of the same week.

On occasion, I will assign an outside of school project, usually in the
areas of Social Studies and Science. When that occurs, I will send home all
the information the student will need, along with a generous due date.

We work hard all week, so I do not assign homework on the weekends. There
is a time to work and then there is a time to play, so come Friday,
it's "play time" enjoy your weekends:)

We are going to have an awesome year!!!
