About The Teacher

     Welcome to a new school year! My name is Kim Mercure.  This is my 
tenth year teaching and my sixth year at East Side Elementary.  I taught 
for three years in Atlanta Public Schools before transferring to Cobb 
County.  I am married to a wonderful man, his name is Chris. We have two 
beautiful and active boys, Emmitt, who is seven and Donovan, who is four.  
We also have a new addition to add to our family, a little girl named Mabell 
Anne, who was born on October 31, 2007.  I am a native Georgian and a 
product of Cobb County schools, having graduated 
from Pope High School in 1991.  I am a graduate from Kennesaw State 
University and a HUGE fan of the Atlanta Falcons!!!!
