Welcome to a new school year! My name is Kim Mercure. This is my
eleventh year teaching and my seventh year at East Side Elementary. I taught
third grade for the last six years and this is my first year teaching second
grade and I am so excited!!! I taught for three years in Atlanta Public
Schools before transferring to Cobb County and spent a year at Sedalia
Park Elementary before coming to East Side. I am married to a wonderful man,
his name is Chris. We have two beautiful and active boys, Emmitt, who is
eight and in the third grade and Donovan, who is five and in kindergarten,
both of my boys go to East Side. I also have a little girl named Mabell
Anne, who was born on October 31, 2007. I am a native Georgian and a product
of Cobb County schools, having graduated from Pope High School in 1991. I am
a graduate from Kennesaw State University and a HUGE fan of the Atlanta
Falcons!!!! I am so excited to be your child's teacher and look forward to a
wonderful year.
