My name is Morgan Satterthwait and I am a rookie teacher this year. I am very excited to be starting off
my teaching career here at East Side! I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Early
Childhood Education. Though I am a new teacher, I am certainly not new to Cobb. A resident of the
county for the past 11 years, I attended Mabry Middle and Graduated from Lassiter High School under
the directorship of our now Super Intendant, Fred Sanderson. I went on to attend Auburn University for
a brief period and then returned back to Cobb to finish my schooling at Kennesaw State. Part of my
heart has stayed in Auburn though, as I am a HUGE Tiger fan! Also, for the past three years I have been
an employee of the Cobb County School District teaching ASP and substituting. I already feel at home
here at East Side and am extreamly enthusiastic about the rest of the school year!
To create an atmosphere where my students are excited about learning, comfortable in their
surroundings, and exceeding everyone's expectations.
