My name is Jenn Shaffer and I am your child's second grade teacher.
I have lived in Georgia for over nineteen years. I attended Cobb County
public schools from second until twelfth grade and graduated in 1999 from
Pope High School. My senior year of high school I participated in a program
called RISE (Reading Is Succeeding Everyday). While working at Murdock
Elementary I tutored second grade students in reading. After participating
in this program I knew that I wanted to be a teacher.
I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2002 for my undergraduate
degree and just recently graduated from Piedmont College with my masters
degree. I did my student teaching in Australia and I have been teaching for
5 years. I am really excited about teaching your child this year! I look
forward to getting to know you and your child better throughout the year.
