The children explored shadows for the past few weeks in many different
ways. We not only observed our own shadows, but also the shadows of objects
all around us. We noticed that shadows move as we move, change as the
source of light moves, and that the sun, and the light in our classroom,
make shadows.
The children enjoyed the two fieldtrips we took recently. The trip to
Publix was very informative and educational. We learned a lot about
different kinds of fruits and vegetables! It was very interesting to watch
the baker make roses out of frosting! The trip to the post office was also
a success. We were able to get a behind the scenes look at where and how
our mail is sorted and then readied for delivery to our homes.
The next few weeks will be filled with many activities involving dental
health, Dr. Suess, and experimenting with wind. We will be hosting a kite
flying day for families in March. Hope to see you there!
