Students and Parents:
Next week is the last week prior to holidays and the last day of our nine weeks. As you know in Target we always have a pre test and then a post test to be sure that students accomplished learning all the essential questions and bridge terminology. Next week we’ll have the post test. Students know the information and I do not think they need to study. Also, we’ll continue bridge construction, and have some Above and Beyonds, which students did not have time to present this week.
Students were excited to exceed their goal in post card contest. Students enjoyed receiving mail from almost every continent and found bridge post card collecting to be a super avenue for learning geography. Thanks again to all students and parents who supported this project. Some parents have been super about checking for bridge postcards while on business trips. Thank you!
Today students worked so hard on their Tiger Tote business. Remarkable progress was made as we produced, organized and delivered order forms to all students at East Side. Quite a production as you factor in the students' "holiday brains". Yes, they were "worker bees" and I was proud of their efforts............and glad when we all felt our success at the end of the day. Students are realizing the reality of having a business and all the paperwork behind the fun of marketing and sales. So far students have sold about 50 Tiger Totes and after our distribution of order forms today, I predict students and parents will be ordering many more as the word spreads. Last week the Jingle Jog crew did a super job kicking off the sales. A big thanks to Jenny Wu, Deborah Whaley, Jeanne Weiland, and Lisa Frits for their assistance with this project.!
All students are having a holiday party in their regular classroom on Wed., Dec. 16th from 1:00-2:00. We’ll have our own Target celebration, if students would like to bring something for the class to enjoy. We’ll begin Target at 10:00, eat lunch with regular classroom schedule (11:48-Mills 11:51- Pernaci), and end at 1:00 due to party in regular classroom.
Hopefully everyone will have a wonderful Happy Holiday filled with lots of love, laughter, health, and happy family times!
Love,
Mrs. Lind
