Above and Beyond

In order to meet my expectations for "Takes initiative to go beyond
requirements," each student must present two Above and Beyond projects
during each nine week grading period.

An Above and Beyond presentation can be on any topic of interest to the
student. The student must have prepared and practiced the presentation at
home. They will time at least one of their "practices" so they can tell me
how long their presentation will take. Students sign the Above and Beyond
Chart in our classroom on the day of their presentation.

Examples of Above and Beyonds are: Power Point Presentations, reports about
animals, plants, trips the family has taken to sites of interest, sports or
stars in sports, demonstrations of how to make or cook something, etc. The
Above and Beyond presentation must include some kind of visual aid.

Please don't wait until the last two weeks of the grading period to do your
Above and Beyond projects!
