My teaching career includes teaching in private and public education as
classroom teacher and a gifted education specialist. For over twenty years
I've enjoyed teaching gifted students in the Target program at East Side
Elementary. Through integrated, thematic I encourage higher level
thinking skills, creative and analytical problem solving,and give students
challenges in research and technology. Last summer I was honored to receive
a Fulbright scholarship and traveled to Hungary and Czech Republic with
thirteen other teachers and college professors from Georgia. My hobbies
include gardening,yoga, travel....and teaching. As well, I enjoy helping
promote community events at East Cobb Park.
My mission is to encourage and connect children to the joy of learning and
support East Side's mission statement.
