My teaching career includes teaching in private and public education as
classroom teacher and a gifted education specialist. For over twenty years
I've enjoyed teaching gifted students in the Target program at East Side
Elementary. Through integrated, thematic units I encourage higher level
thinking skills, creative and analytical problem solving,and give students
challenges in research & technology. I like to encourage students to become
self-directed producers of excellence. My hobbies include gardening,
traveling....and teaching. As well, I enjoy working with students in 5th-
12th grades in the East Cobb community to support the growth and development
of East Cobb Park.
My mission is to encourage and connect children to the joy of learning.
East Side Mission:Children, parents, teachers and the community will unite to
promote a learning environment that is an academically challenging safe, and
nurturing environment.
