Hola a todos,
During our meeting yesterday (November 17, 2009)we discussed our local and
global projects for the Christmas season. We adopted a Christmas Child from
the county and are asking each member to contribute $3 for that project.
Please bring that right away to room 191. We have to purchase everything by
December 3. Our global project is to send support to Montaña de Luz, the
Honduran orphanage for children with HIV/Aids. All donations from our members
will help offset these expenses and we won't have to raise as much money from
fundraisers. Please give whatever you can, but at least $3 for the Christmas
Child.
We will be selling candy after Thanksgiving. Please listen for announcements
to come and get your candy. We will have to get all of that done before we
leave on Christmas break. Check here and listen to WEHS for announcements as
soon as we get back from Thanksgiving.
Several members liked the idea of having a festival at school of some sort.
We will continue discussing possibilities for that when we have our next
meeting in January.
