WE ARE STUDYING: Language Arts integrated with Social Studies on the colony
of Jamestown, reading for meaning strategies, use of organizer, comprehension
activity. Science focus on sources of energy and integrated with Language
Art with the reading of "Two Bad Ants", recall of facts, summarizing,
inferring, cause/effect and editing are just some of the skills will be
working on. Math - Super Star Math -2's, telling time to 5 minutes, use
of models, review of Topical Words.

Must Christmas Drive ¡V We are collecting new wrapped toys for the Must
Toy Shelf. Students may drop off their donations in the front hall by
December 14th. Thanks!
Northwest YMCA Day Thursday, Dec. 13th, Wear your hat to school and
donate one dollar to support the local youth. Winter Celebration for
Mrs. Byrd's class is December 21st. Everyone is invited to attend. We
are doing a book exchange at the celebration and ask that students bring
1 new book (wrapped) on a level 2 or 3 that would interest anyone. See
you there!
