Social Studies projects are due Monday. Please help you child use the check
sheet to make sure all components are in the project for Monday.
From what I've heard, I can't wait to see them all!!!
We will be having "Immigration Day" next Friday morning the 18th. Your child
should dress as an immigrant and bring a dish to share with the class. This
will begin at 8:15ish and the Feast will be at 11:00 after specials. Our
HOLIDAY PARTY will begin at 1:00 right after lunch. It should be quite a
memorable day. I hope to see you here.

AGENDAS
We will be filling out agendas as a class each day. You can be a tremendous
help to your child by going over the assignments in the agenda and making
sure they have completed each one. Please sign your child’s agenda daily,
even on Friday.
FRIDAY FOLDERS
Friday Folders will contain graded and sometimes non-graded assignments as
well as important papers that need to be returned to school. Additionally,
you will find a behavior chart attached in the folder. Please initial on
the appropriate week so that we know you have seen the enclosed work.
NOTES TO SCHOOL
Whenever your child has to miss school please send in a note the following
day. Additionally, Cobb County requires a doctor note for any absence due to
a doctor/dentist/orthodontist appointment.
IMMUNIZATIONS
All fifth grade students need two doses of the chicken pox vaccine and an
updated medical form before going on to 6th grade. As you take your child
for a check up this year please request a form that we can add to their file.
