About The Teacher

Hello! My name is Lori Pinkard. I was born at Kennestone Hospital in
Marietta, Georgia on June 28, 1973. I have lived in exciting Acworth,
Georgia all of my life and can proudly say that I attended Acworth
Elementary, Awtrey Middle, and North Cobb High. I then entered Kennesaw
State University where I studied elementary education for four years. I
graduated with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood June of 1995. That same
week, I married my loving husband Trent whom I have been married to for the
past thirteen years. After graduating, I took my first position as a Georgia
Pre-k teacher at McGarity Elementary in Paulding County. I then moved to
third grade in the same school. My first daughter Molly came along and stole
my heart. I was very blessed to be able to become a stay at home mom at that
time. Missing teaching, as I knew I would, I decided to tudor out of my
home. I worked with many elementary children over the next few years. My
second little bundle of love, Darby Rion, was born in February of 2000,
thus making our family complete. When Darby entered preschool I was
thrilled to hear of a preschool position available in the same facility. It
brought back so much of my passion for teaching that I knew I was ready to
come back full time. I began substitute teaching at Frey in 2005 as I
continued my education, completing 10 hours of study, thus updating my
teaching certificate. In January of 2006, I accepted a supply job
in second grade. I then continued teaching full time until April and part
time until mid May. August 2006 began my first year back as a full time
third grade teacher, and what an amazing year it was. This will be the start
of my third year here at Frey as a third grade teacher. I am so blessed to be
a part of the Frey family, and am so excited to begin a new year with
truly "unique and wonderfully made children". Thank you for this opportunity
to be a chapter in your child's life.
