Homework will be given Monday through Thursday. There will be no homework given over the weekend, unless we are working on a special project. Also, it is expected that your child reads for two extra hours outside of school each week. All homework will be brought the next day unless it is noted on a special project sheet. When homework is not brought back to school for the next school day, students will give up their recess time and be expected to work on it then. If your child seems to be having too much work to do as homework, it might be that they did not finish their classwork. Please check their agenda to see if that is the case. Assignments are written on the board under "homework" and I check agendas each day to make sure they are writing the correct assignments. I tell them to copy it the same way that it is on the board. This takes practice and might be different than last year. I will model this for you child for the first few weeks and check agendas frequently. It is important that your child leaves my classroom organized. Please look for your child's homework assignments in their agenda. Remember to sign your child's agenda every night. Do not sign a blank agenda....someone must have not filled in their assignments correctly :( .
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
