Book reports will be assigned monthly by genre. Each book report also has a project assigned. A clearly written rubric will be sent home for both the report and the project. In fact, the rubric is used all year long and does not change. We will complete the first two book reports in class so that modeling can be done before they are assigned as an at-home project. The goal is to write a three paragraph review about the book without giving away the entire plot or ending. The illustration for the cover of your written report must be drawn by you! Do not print graphics from the computer or simply scan the cover. Only original drawings will be accepted. Follow the rubric and review the sample and you will do fine. These projects will completed at home but presented in class. It is important that I see your child actively engaged in reading each day and not at the bookshelf picking a book to read day after day. We still will have visits to the Media Center. At this time each student is encouraged to pick two books. This way they will always have a book at hand.
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
