Students will identify and use contractions correctly.
 
Math: EQ: How do I divide a set into equal parts? How do the groups effect how a total number is divided?
Students will demonstrate an understanding of division through modeling, repeated subtraction and fact families.
 
Science: EQ:Why are there no polar bears in Georgia?
Students will be able to identify the elments of habitats, as well as features of plants and animals that allow them to thrive in different regions of Georgia.  
 
Social Studies: EQ:How did Susan B. Anthony help people? How did she help women get the right to vote? 
Students will examine social barriers, restrictions, and obstacles that Susan  B. Anthony had to overcome. They will discuss the life of Susan B. Anthony and learn how she influenced people's rights and freedoms in a democracy.
 
Writing: EQ:How can I respond to literature?
Students will use an organizational pattern for conveying information.
 
Reading: EQ:How do I decide what the text is mostly about? What does the author think is most important and how do I know?
Students will identify and infer the main idea and supporting details iin appropriate sequence.
