I can see how the maturity level of many of my students has increased in the past year. As I visit American Literature classes, most of my students appear to be engaged and interested in information that they need in order to complete high school with as much success as possible and make post-secondary plans. I encourage my juniors to begin to take responsibility for their education in preparation for their independence after they leave home. In classroom guidance I ask them to take the time to meet with me regarding classes, planning for next year, and plans for after graduation. The more I talk with them individually, the better I know them. The better I know them, the better I can advise them. I enjoy working with this diverse, interesting and wonderful group of young people. Thank you for sharing them with me.
