Welcome to 6th grade Social Studies! I know that all of you are
excited as I am about starting a new school year! I have grown up and lived
in Columbia County for my entire life! I also attended Columbia County
schools as a child and graduated from Augusta Sate University. I am married
to my husband Richard, and we have a 3 year old daughter named Emma. She is
the light of our world and we enjoy doing as many family activities together
as possible. When I am not teaching I try to travel with my family as much
as I can. We love going to the beach, but my dream is to make my way to
Germany! Besides traveling, my second passion is book collecting. I have a
rare love for any kind of children's book, especially picture ones. At the
present moment I have hundreds, way far too many to count!
My goal for every one of my students is to gain an appreciation and
knowledge for the cultures, land, and people of other countries. Although
each of may never make our way to every other country in the world, we are
allowed to explore them through books and other media. Be an explorer!
