There will be a major Test on Tuesday, November 25th over Governments (types and systems),
Presidential vs. Parlimentary, European Union, Types of Economies, Economic Growth, and Trade
Barriers. Please start studying so you are well prepared!!
Parents: Since we no longer complete current events I have changed my grading scale. The
following is my new scale:

Week of November 10 - 14:
Monday: Continue reviewing three thinking maps over Governments - Quiz will be Friday.
Tuesday: Begin working on European Union Packet. There will be an open notes quiz on Friday
over the EU (based directly on the notes)
Wednesday: Finish work, notes, and map over European Union
Thursday: Go over European Union and review for quizzes
Friday: Open-Notes quiz over European Union / Quiz over Thinking Maps over Governments

Week of November 3 - 7:
Monday: Students will turn in election project. Conduct debates and speeches and then have a
class vote
Tuesday: NO SCHOOL
Wednesday: Compare the different forms of governments and the different ways citizens
participate in the government
Thursday: Student will compare and contrast Presidential and Parlimentary forms of government
Friday: Work on Veteran's Day activity.
Week of October 27 - 31:
We are going to stop our study of Europe and focus our attention to the Presidential Election.
We are going to have an ILP where the students will complete 3 teacher required activities and 3
student choice activities. They will be working in groups. All parts of the project will be

Monday: Work on Skills Handbook S2 - S15
Tuesday: Cover Section 15.4 - define vocabulary, reading check questions, and section review
