I LOVE children, learning, and teaching. I have known since I was in
Kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher. I am a graduate of Augusta State
University, and I have my certification in Science, Social Studies, and
Language Arts. I did my student teaching at GMS, taught at Lakeside
Middle,and now I am very excited to be joining the GMS Wolfpack. I have a
wonderful husband and three beautiful children: Alexis (9), Rachel (8), and
Mark (4). We are HUGE sports fans, and when we are not watching the
Virginia Tech Hokies play, we are cheering for the Atlanta Falcons. Our
family is split over baseball. Half of us are Atlanta fans, and the other
half cheers for Boston. I say, "Go Braves!"
My mission is to prepare my students for high school and young adulthood. I
plan to do this by giving them knowledge and teaching them the skills they
need for application. I also think that it is extremely important to teach
them how to become productive citizens of our great country.
