About The Teacher

I am married to my husband, Vaun.  We have been married for three years.  We 
do not have any children, but we do have a sweet pit-bull named Luke.  (He 
is like a child to us.)  I do have a three year old nephew whom I 
adore and love.  

This is my third year at GMS.  I taught 7th grade social studies my first  
year teaching.  I taught 6th grade math and science last year and I look 
forward to another exciting year in 6th grade.  I love teaching 6th grade!  
I am also the track and field coach, which I love!

I graduated from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, 
Georgia in Middle Grades Education.  I gradutated with my Master's Degree in 
Middle Grades Education from Augusta State University this past summer.  I 
am currently working on obtaining my Specialist's Degree in Educational 
Leadership; I will graduate next summer (2008).

Mission For The Class

Math-

I would like all students to look at math in a positive aspect by becoming 
actively involved in class every day.  I hope to make math interactive and 
engaging to all students.

Science-

Science is fun and engaging, if you open your mind.  Science surrounds our 
life and is in all forms around us.  I would like to make science engaging 
to all my students, so they will have a better appreciation for it.
