We are moving right along in chapter 4. We just took a quiz over atomic
theory and most of the students performed well on the quiz. If your child
failed the quiz he/she needs to come in for tutoring in the morning as it
will be difficult to move on. They are required to pass the quiz before
they can move on to the next level. We will make corrections on Monday and
retake on Thursday or sooner if he/she is ready. Remember, quiz grades will
not change when retakes occur. They must master one content before moving
on to the next content.
We will take a quiz on the periodic table on Wednesday. Students will be
allowed to use their color coded table on the quiz. We did a worksheet in
class on Friday. The quiz will be just like the worksheet except I will
change the elements in the table and I will ask them to draw the atomic
structure of some different atoms.
All students have registered for the online textbook. The URL address is
pearsonsuccessnet. com!!!!Their username should
be their first initial and then their last name (ex: dtracy). They each
chose their own password so hopefully it was one that they can remember!!!
