February 6-10
Monday- Notes were handed out, highlighted, and reviewed for Friday's test. Any classes with extra time were allowed to complete Guided Reading 13 and 14 which is due Friday.
Tuesday- Reviewed and completed notes for Friday's test. Extra time was given to finish Guided Reading 13 and 14 which are due on Friday.
Wednesday-Reviewed for Friday's test. Students also worked on Guided Readings.
Thursday-
Reviewed for Friday's test. Students also worked on Guided Readings. Watched Georgia Stories DVD. STUDY for tomorrow's test!
Friday- CHAPTER TEST (notes available in the "Notes" section). Also Chapters 13 and 14 Guided Reading are due today!
February 15-19
Monday- Today we started Chapter 15- The Antebellum Period. All classes took notes, we also took time to review the GPS Standards for this unit.
Tuesday- NJHS Field Trip. Most classes were missing large numbers due to the field trip. Students watched a "Georgia Stories" about slavery in GA. Then, they all worked on a crossword puzzle.
Wednesday- Notes were continued for Chapter 15.
Thursday- All classes went to the computer lab to complete the Career program- Bridge Bill. This was an interesting day for your student, so ask them what careers were suggested for them to pursue.
Friday- NOTES, notes, notes! TEST next WEDNESDAY!
February 20-24
Monday- NO SCHOOL
Tuesday- Complete Antebellum notes and review for tomorrow's TEST.
Wednesday- TEST on the Antebellum Period. Begin notes on the Civil War.
Thursday- Academic Reward Day
Friday- Begin notes on the Civil War. Watch "America, the Story of Us" part 5 about the Civil War.
February 27- March 2
Monday- Continue notes on the Civil War.
Tuesday- Civil War notes. Test on Thursday start to study your notes NOW!
Wednesday-Review
Thursday-Test on Chapter 16- Civil War.
Friday- Today we went over their tests. We started the new unit on Reconstruction. The notes are a continuation from the Antebellum and Civil War packet.
March 5-9
Monday- Reconstruction notes. Test retakes for the 9 weeks will be given on Wed-Fri. (3/7-9) in morning or after school detention.

Wednesday- Quiz on Reconstruction notes. Students completed work from the CRCT practice workbook. Test retakes for the 9 weeks will be given on Wed-Fri. (3/7-9) in morning or after school detention.
Thursday- Watch a GA Storie DVD about Reconstruction. Student began making their own "tests" for Reconstruction which will be completed tomorrow for a grade. Test retakes for the 9 weeks will be given on Wed-Fri. (3/7-9) in morning or after school detention.
Friday- Complete the work started yesterday. Students also answered questions from the CRCT practice workbook. Test retakes for the 9 weeks will be given on Wed-Fri. (3/7-9) in morning or after school detention. I have extended the retakes thru Monday, March 12.
March 12-16
Monday- Students will begin the unit on "The New South". We will be working toward CRCT preparation. Today is the final day for test retakes.
Tuesday- Continue notes on "The New South". Quiz tomorrow on notes up to World War I.
Wednesday- Quiz on "The New South" notes up to World War I. Vocabulary words were given and students are to define them. There will be a vocabulary quiz on Tuesday, March 20.
Thursday- Define vocabulary words. Quiz on Tuesday, March 20. Continue notes on the "New South" and World War I.
Friday- Finish the vocabulary words and notes on World War I.
March 19-23
Monday- World War I propaganda worksheet. Students analyzed different propaganda posters. Vocabulary quiz tomorrow. World War I quiz on Wednesday.
Tuesday- Vocabulary Quiz. World War I quiz tomorrow. Students watch "America, the Story of Us" after their quiz.
Wednesday- World War I quiz. Today ends the 3rd 9 weeks.
Thursday- Today we started notes covering Post WWI- WWII; this includes the Great Depression, boll weevil, 1925-27 GA drought, Eugene Talmedge, FDR's New Deal, CCC, TVA, SSA, and the AAA.
