First Nine Weeks
The objectives listed below will be used to lead students to mastery of the
concepts covered in the 1st Nine Weeks Unit of study.
Whole Numbers
• Sort and classify into odd/even; prime/composite
• Find multiples and factors
Number Relationships / Algebra
• Use simple algebraic expressions by substituting numbers
• Use variable for unknown (n or x)
Decimals (through hundredths)
• Understand place value
• Analyze and understand the effect on product when a number is
multiplied by 1, 10, 100, 1000, 0.1, and 0.01
Multiplication and Division of Decimal Fractions
• Understand the relationship and rules of multiplication and division
using whole numbers and decimal fractions
• Model multiplication and division of decimal fractions by another
decimal fraction
Data
• Analyze data presented in a graph
• Collect, organize, and display data using the most appropriate graph
