What is my child doing in art this week ?
K-2 student art projects are designed to develop a child's fine motor skills, eye and hand coordination, shape and color concepts and imagination. In these grades the emphasis is on shape,line,patterns, and basic compositions. Third to fifth students can process more complex subject matter and explore elements and principles of design. We use oil pastels, crayons, markers, colored pencils, chalk, tempera and watercolor paints, construction paper,glue,scissors and clay to create our artworks.Back to Top
