Coach Jenkins is from Acworth, Georgia. She is a graduate of Sprayberry
High School, where she lettered in four sports: Cross Country, Track,
Volleyball, and Basketball. While running track at Sprayberry, she
specialized in the 400, 800, and the 4 x 400. While in high school Coach
Jenkins participated in the German American Parntership Program. She lived
in Hitzacker Germany with the Burmester family and attended school there for
the summer. After High School, Coach Jenkins attended Lipscomb University
in Nashville, TN on an academic and cross-country scholarship. While at
Lipscomb, Coach Jenkins was named Most Valuable Runner for the 1999 Cross-
Country season. She also was a member of Phi Sigma social club where she
served as Athletic Director. Coach Jenkins graduated in 2000 with a BA
degree in Math Education. After graduating, Coach Jenkins taught math at
Woodland High School in Cartersville, Ga. While at Woodland, Coach Jenkins
was the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. This is
Coach Jenkins 3rd year at Kell High School where she is currently teaching
math and assistant track coach. She just finished her Masters in Education
in December.
