For the week of December 14-18: As Frank Sinatra, Elvis, and Syd Vicious (and countless others) sang, "And now, the end is near . . ." As we wrap up our discussion and reading of British Literature this week, we will get our feet wet with a few poetry selections from the Victorian era and some 20th century short stories, which will be assigned for reading on Monday evening and which students will share with peers on Wednesday. Please remember that we will enjoy food on Tuesday during our premieres of your five-minute Hamlet videos. Our final exam is on Thursday, and the review sheet has been posted on our handouts page. We should have some time on Wednesday to work on it and to ask specific questions about your exam. It's been a fun semester. If there is every anything I can help you with, please let me know. Have a great holiday and a wonderful start to 2010. All the best, M. Woodall
