About Mr. Woodall and Mrs. Thrash

Mr. Woodall was born at a young age in Athens, Georgia. As a child he
showed a propensity for correcting the speech of family members and pets;
thus, it was foreordained that he would become an English teacher. After
spending 34 years in Athens, Mr. Woodall tired of Saturdays with riotous
U.Ga. students and alumni and fled his ancestral home for the calmer
environs of metro Atlanta. He now resides in Hiram with his wife, son and
daughter. He spends his free time playing with his children,
listening to music he should have long since outgrown, playing Scrabble and
other word games with his English teacher wife, and fulfilling his teenage
dream of playing in a band. Mr. Woodall is also fond of reading and
ferroequinology, and he and his family enjoy hiking and camping.

Mr. Woodall holds two degrees from the University of Georgia: a B.S. Ed. in
English Education and an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership.

Favorite quotation: “April 1. This is the day upon which we are reminded of
what we are on the other three hundred and sixty-four.”—Mark Twain

About Mrs. Thrash:

I am Suzanne Thrash, an Education Support Teacher for Kennesaw Mountain. I
am starting my tenth year as a teacher. I am married to Bill Thrash, and we
will celebrate our 29th year of marriage this coming February. I have two
adult children: Mandy (age 22) is a senior at Kennesaw State, majoring in
Political Science. My son, Robby (age 20) will graduate with an AA in Video
Production from Chattahoochee Tech in December. He will then go onto UGA
for
his Bachelors and Masters degrees.

My favorite pastime is reading. I love mysteries and will read just about
anything. I am looking forward to working with your students in our ninth
grade English class.
