Dear Parents,
Welcome to Lakeside High School! I am looking forward to teaching Spanish
to your student. Spanish is my first language and I love to share it with
others. I have taught High School Spanish since 1999. I am proud to be a part
of the Lakeside High School Faculty since 2005.
I will focus on the 3R's "Rigor, Relevance and Relationships" throughout
the school year. Your student will have homework, on most days, which will be
relevant to learning Spanish. Your student will be encouraged to listen,
speak, read and write in Spanish inside and outside of the classroom. I will
use English during class, when it is appropriate and necessary or to help
explain and clarify a point. I expect my students to participate and do their
best. In the classroom, I will keep an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Grades will be determined by tests, quizzes, classwork, participation,
homework, writing and reading assignments, spoken quizzes, pop quizzes,
special projects, journals, etc. You may check daily for your students'
homework by following the links in the LHS web page or by going directly to my
web page: http://www.teacherweb.com/GA/LakesideHighSchool/AngelicaEubanks
It is a lot of fun to be able to speak two or more languages. I know that
with patience and perseverance, we will succeed!
Please, do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any
questions, concerns or just want to say hello.
