Lakeside is finally the undisputed Columbia County Rogers Cup Champions!
For the first time in 12 years we have ended the dominance of Evans HS as
the Columbia County Raider Champions. Our male varsity A Team won 5 out of
the seven events to capture the title and our Mixed Team, which was
competing as a male team, came in fourth place out of eight teams. Our next
competition is on 22 September at Hephzibah HS, so come on out and watch us.
As of 16 August, 2007:
We have two Saturday practices scheduled so far on 18 August and 1
September. With the heat being so high we can't go outside during our
normal practice so on these two days we will work on our runs and rope
bridge technique from 0800-1100.
As of 7 August, 2007:
The Lakeside Raiders had a great year with a 4th place finish at the State
Raider Competition and we brought home over 20 trophies in 2006. We have
already started working on improving that bench mark by training over the
summer. The LHS Raider Team is a physically and mentally competitive team
that builds leadership, character, teamwork and esprit de corps. We have a
winning tradition at Lakeside High School and we will always strive to
improve upon that tradition. My belief is that when you are sucking the
most, you will remember the best and I will always do my best to impart that
belief in all Raiders.

to be used to carry cell phones/inhalers (if needed) during all practices
and competitions. The Sabre model by Camel Back is a good value at
approximately $35 sold @ Ranger Joes.com.
I have one question for everyone: Can we beat Paulding County & ARC? You
gotta believe in yourself and be willing to make the commitment not only
during Raider practice, but also during your own free time. I believe we
can win the Rogers Cup outright as well as beating Paulding County/ARC and I
am willing to make the commitment and sacrifice that it will take. I hope
each of you will join me in this effort.
*Also see the Raider SOP for details on Raider Tab, PT medal/ribbon and
other information.
