At the Elbert County Competition on 29 September our Male Team placed fourth
overall and brought home two second place trophies and our Mixed Team placed
sixth overall and brought home a second place trophy.

As of 23 September, 2007:

Lakeside Male Team wins the Hephzibah Marauders Cup and the Mixed Team takes
Third place overall.

As of 17 September, 2007:

Lakeside is finally the undisputed Columbia County Rogers Cup Champions!
For the first time in 12 years we have ended the dominance of Evans HS as
the Columbia County Raider Champions. Our male varsity A Team won 5 out of
the seven events to capture the title and our Mixed Team, which was
competing as a male team, came in fourth place out of eight teams. Our next
competition is on 22 September at Hephzibah HS, so come on out and watch us.

As of 16 August, 2007:

We have two Saturday practices scheduled so far on 18 August and 1
September. With the heat being so high we can't go outside during our
normal practice so on these two days we will work on our runs and rope
bridge technique from 0800-1100.

As of 7 August, 2007:

The Lakeside Raiders had a great year with a 4th place finish at the State
Raider Competition and we brought home over 20 trophies in 2006. We have
already started working on improving that bench mark by training over the
summer. The LHS Raider Team is a physically and mentally competitive team
that builds leadership, character, teamwork and esprit de corps. We have a
winning tradition at Lakeside High School and we will always strive to
improve upon that tradition. My belief is that when you are sucking the
most, you will remember the best and I will always do my best to impart that
belief in all Raiders.

Timeline:
a.	Practice will be from 3:15-5:30pm every M, W, F.
b.	There will be Saturday practices
c.	Schedule of Competitions further down.
Requirements:
a. A physical signed by a doctor prior to conducting physical training. If
you have asthma, then that must be specifically addressed on the physical
form.
b. Proof of insurance signed by a parent prior to conducting physical
training.
c. $30 dollars is required to offset the cost of a Raider shirt, Black
Boonie Cap, equipment and Gatorade during competitions.
d. Each Raider also needs to provide their own Camel Back with small pouch
to be used to carry cell phones/inhalers (if needed) during all practices
and competitions. The Sabre model by Camel Back is a good value at
approximately $35 sold @ Ranger Joes.com.

I have one question for everyone: Can we beat Paulding County & ARC? You
gotta believe in yourself and be willing to make the commitment not only
during Raider practice, but also during your own free time. I believe we
can win the Rogers Cup outright as well as beating Paulding County/ARC and I
am willing to make the commitment and sacrifice that it will take. I hope
each of you will join me in this effort.

*Also see the Raider SOP for details on Raider Tab, PT medal/ribbon and
other information.

insurance and physical forms. Today we stretched, did two minutes of push
ups and sit ups each and then did a two mile individual run. Come on out
and join us as we get ready for another great season.

Remember: "You gotta live hard to be hard, Lakeside Raiders, Hooah"
and "When you are sucking the most, you will remember the Best"

As of 5 December, 2006:

We had a great season and ended on a positive note with our Male Team
placing 4th at the Georgia State Raider Competition against some very stiff
competitors. We also earned three other individual event trophies as well.
MAJ McKean will still be having informal practices three times a week after
school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. This will also depend on my
schedule and the practice will be for no longer than one hour. We may even
try to jump in on some local events such as running, biking and adventure
type events.
