We received a letter from the Boosterthon guys and the PTSA, that I have posted below! I am so proud of our class! Our class collected just over $20.00 per lap!!! We have earned some extra recess! And as an incentive to get all of our pledges in by the 21st of October, I am providing a "Gum Chewing" afternoon!! Students will be able to chew gum in class one afternoon. I will provide the gum. If your child is unable to chew gum due to braces, I will provide another treat so get those pledges in!!!
Dear Lewis Families,
Thank you very much for supporting the Lewis Elementary Boosterthon Fun Run! We have all come together and done an incredible
job to help our school!
Today, the Booster Team provided a blue collection envelope for your child to use when collecting pledges. Please return this envelope
by next Wednesday, October 21st. Checks should be made payable to Lewis PTA. Remember all contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Here are some interesting facts from the Boosterthon Fun Run at our school this year:
While the Boosterthon Fun Run involved every child regardless of financial participation, 411 students did receive pledges. And
everyone was an “all-star” at the Boosterthon Fun Run! What a great time of team building it has been!
- Pledges were received from 43 states and 18 foreign countries.
- As a whole, the students averaged 32 laps at the Boosterthon Fun Run.
We hope you had the opportunity to attend the Boosterthon Fun Runs because this was MUCH more than a just a fund raiser for our
school. Help us reach our goal & let’s collect 100% of our pledges!

Stars". Part of the standards for 5th grade is to read 25 books or 1
million words. We are focusing on 25 books on individual students'
