Fifth grade is a special time for our students.  The fifth grade teachers and I try to help the students prepare academicly, socially, and emotionally for their transition to middle school.  The students learned about the characteristics of different careers in October. Later in the year, we will  have several lessons from the Olweus Bully Prevention program. They will also be given the important personal safety information from the Child Lures program. In March and April, they will be learning test taking skills and stress reduction techniques to enable them to preform their best on the CRCT.  In May, they will learn more about the transition to middle school and the all important lesson on how to open a combination lock.

Please be sure that your fifth grader has the immunizations needed for middle school before the end of the year.
