About The Teacher

WELCOME TO ADAPT!
ADAPT is a program to help young adults ages 18-22 make the transition into 
adulthood.
My name is Mary Carter. I teach the ID ADAPT Class class. I have been 
teaching in Gwinnett County for 14 years. I have been teaching in the ADAPT 
program at Monarch School for 7 years. I am married with two daughters ages 
14 and 18. In my free time I love to cook, garden and read.

My Para pro's name is Carol Gilbert. She has been a para with Gwinnett COunty 
since 1999. She loves working with the young adult's in the ADAPT program. 
Carol is married and has 5 children (Thhree grown daughters and two 
grandchildren). She is presently enrolled in Phoenix University to obtain her 
bachelor's degree in education. Her philosophy is you are not getting older 
you are getting better.

Mission For The Class

My mission for working with students in the ADAPT program is to provide them 
with experiences that will help them to be productive members of of the 
community.
