Dear Families,

Welcome to our fourth grade class!

We are very excited about the upcoming school year. It's hard to believe that the beginning of the year is just next week!

This year, you're child will be a part of an "Inclusive Inspired Classroom".

Yes, we've taken two classroom models and combined them as one.

For those not familiar, as part of an inclusive class, your child will have the benefit of having two licensed teachers in the classroom working as a team to meet the learning needs of your child. While implementing the "Inclusive" model we have also turned our classroom into an Inspired Classroom. An Inspired Classroom is a new integration model that allows students to work cooperatively, allowing each learning group dedicated access to a computer throughout the day. This arrangement allows the technology to become an integral part of the learning process. How exciting!!!!

It is our goal to determine the methods of instruction that are most effective for each learner in our class, and to utilize these methods to foster growth and discovery.

We will be differentiating our instruction to meet the needs of our wonderfully diverse group.

It is also of great importance that our parents be a vital component of our classroom community. We value a strong home-school connection, and actively seek to establish that.

We are looking forward to working with you to create a positive school experience for your fourth grader.
