Mrs.Wicker and Ms. Peter's Math: Please continue to practice division at home
with your child!!
Our data and graphing unit is in full swing! Today we graphed the colors of
M&M's in our fun-size bag.
We will study line plots, bar graphs, pictographs and how to create and
interpret each of the types of data/graphs. The test will be next Tuesday,
November 17. The study guide will be given out this Tuesday.
Social Studies: We are studying the settlement of the 13 British Colonies in
North America and how they were similar and different regarding geographic
setting, and social, political, and economic traits.
The children are taking notes and this will serve as the study guide. The
test is scheduled for next Friday, November 13. They have filled out all of
the notes for Friday's test.
Reading: This week we are reading “Stealing Home". There will be a
reading and spelling test this Friday. The spelling contract is due Friday
as well.
Writing: Your child has completed persuasive writing and now we are moving to
Informational. We will begin this unit by writing a brochure about a colony.
