Here's what we'll be working on in class this month:

Literacy Centers:  Plants; Insects; Guided Reading and Writing 

Phonics:   Consonant Blends and Digraphs; Word Families

Sight Words:  PLEASE continue to practice and review sight words with
              your child, especially over the summer.  We want the 
              students to enter first grade knowing all of the sight
              words we learned this year.
 
Math:  Subtration; Problem Solving; Review of all Math concepts learned
       in kindergarten.

Handwriting: review of D'Nealian method of handwriting continues

Soc. Stu./Science:  Plants; Insects; Review of map skills

Computer Lab:  Keyboarding skills; Microsoft Word; Interactive websites

Please remember to send a snack with your child each day, and return your 
child's SMALL rest towel to school each Monday.
