Sorry for the delay in updating my site. Been a little buy this month.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and condolences regarding the passing of
my father-in-law. Although his loss is very painful to me, he was truly
my "father", the quickness and brevity of his illnesses were a blessing.
We are so close Thanksgiving..wow, where has the time gone???
Don't forget our Thanksgiving lunch is Wednesday, November 10th at our usual
lunch time of 11:12. You are all invited to join us in Math Centers just
before our lunch time from 10:30 -11:00A.M. Come and see how we learn our
math concepts in station based centers and mini lessons.
We will be finishing the Civil War and Reconstruction by 11/20, I hope. We
will then start our study of Matter in Science with that to conclude before
the winter break. We are currently studying all areas of fractions:
addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Finally, we are
finishing up imaginative writing and going into informational writing.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys the whole week of
rest and relaxation with a little bit of shopping????
To all of my parents and students, I am thankful to be your teacher and guide
through 5th Grade. Thank you for all your support and help this year.
