Dear Families, December 11, 2009 Hello all! One word to describe this week....fun! Another word is Fast! This was the last week of Semester #1 After School activities. If you would like to sign up for Winter sports and after school activities, please contact Kandy Lau or look on MVP website. We were so busy this week, like Santa's little elves, doing many cute Art projects. We also managed some time, belive it or not, to get our academic work completed. I could spend a couple more hours of days with this class...they are awesome! This time of year is the only time that I do this many art projects and sing and play a little more but the children LOVE it! They deserve it too! We all love Christmas time~so magical at this age!! Brief recap of this past week: 1. candy cane Jesus story 2. Rudolph cones...cute! 3. the VERY MERRY Mouse book with homemade mouse 4. wreaths to decorate your home..or their rooms! 5. made wreath cookies, green icing, red hots and butter cookies 6. Handwriting books and writing sentences 7. beaded candy canes 8. Chapel on Tuesday..thank you for coming and all the cans Just to name a few things! Please don't forget to make a card for A friend instead of the gift exchange and send them in on Tuesday. Our Christmas program is on Thursday, the 17th at 10:00 am. Please come to watch your precious children sing and perform a line in our class poem. Next Friday, the 18th, will be the last day and there will be NO EXTENDED day this day. We will have carpool at 11:15 with the preschool gang. I will not be at school the last day because some minor surgery on the 17th that I need to get done before the end of the year! I hate it that I have to miss the last day. It will be a lot of fun but Ms. Elizabeth will be here for the class party to share in the excitement! I will be sending a little something home for your child on Wednesday but PLEASE do not feel like you have to get me something. I mean that. I know how tough times are for everyone. Believe me my husband is still out of work. JUST HAVING your child and you in my life means more to me than anything! I truly adore each of them in their own special way and love being their teacher. Happy Holidays to all and may the peace, joy, and love of Christmas fill your hearts always. Looking next half of the year in January.
