The book is called YOUR GARDEN....please read with your child...have fun!
There will be no new sight word for next week because of the Thanksgiving
break.
There are now 17 words on the wall: we, will, like, am, he, she, where,
are, not, at, from, come, a, what, that, me, your
*Please practice these sight words with your child.
Here are some ideas to help with practice:
make little note cards for the sight words that I introduce.
Turn it into a game!! Another great idea is to look through magazines and
ads, the newspaper,(circle them or highlight them or your child could even
cut these words out!)look at menus while eating at restaurants, signs,
etc.. Keep a running list at home. Place words on little cards on the
bathroom or bedroom door...just some ideas!
* Please work on letter recognition and sounds, and #recognition 1-100!
Also, the students need to know their address, phone #, and
birthday. Please practice counting as well! by 1's, 5's & 10's
* Please also practice tying shoes and writing names and correct letter
formation.
