Hello to all....my name is Stacey Whalen and this will be my 14th year
teaching at Mt. Vernon and my fifth year being the Young Fives
teacher. Previously, I taught Kindergarten for 8 years and my first year
at Mt. Vernon I was a pre-K teacher. I enjoy teaching all ages but I LOVE
teaching the Young Fives and
seeing how much they learn and change over the year. It is amazing! What a
fun age to teach. I feel so blessed to be a part of Mt. Vernon and this
amazing school.
My husband, Pat, and celebrated our 6th year being married this past
summer and
have been blessed with two beautiful children. Both are boys. Finn, who
is now 4 and is in the Pre-K program at Mount Vernon. Liam, who is
3, would also love to come to school at Mt. Vernon but he will be in the threes next year!
Being a mom, wife and a teacher are the greatest gifts
God has ever given me and I cherish each one with all my heart! Thank you
for entrusting your children to me...I understand your concerns and can
relate to them in some way. I look forward to teaching your children every
day and being a part of their lives.
