Meg Brown
I grew up here in metro Atlanta and left the area for Charleston after high
school. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in
Elementary Ed in 2004. I spent two years teaching abroad in Tokyo to
Japanese students and then came home to Atlanta. Last year I taught at
another Christian school in the area and married my high school sweetheart.
We live with our dog, Momo in Atlanta and I am excited to join Mt. Vernon’s
4th grade team this year.
Suzanne Cheripka
Hi! I am a native Georgian and have been a teacher for the past sixteen
years. I am fortunate to have taught at both the elementary and middle
school grade levels. I currently hold a Master's and Specialist degree and
am working on my Doctorate. I live in Dunwoody and have two wonderful
children, a third grade daughter and a son who just started college. They
keep me very busy and young! I look forward to a great first year at MVPS!
Kelly Laughlin
This is my third year teaching and my first year at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian
school. My family and I moved to Sandy Springs a year ago from Dallas,
Georgia where I taught 4th and 5th grade. I earned my teaching credential in
Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. I am married with
two sons (both in college). In my spare time I like to ride my bike and
fetch with my dog Molly. I look forward to a great year in fourth grade!
Lauren Lewis
This is my fifth year teaching and my second year at Mount Vernon
Presbyterian School. I have lived in the Atlanta area all my life. I
graduated with a B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from The University of
Georgia. In my spare time, I am always reading, spending time outdoors, and
traveling to new places. I traveled to Peru and Bolivia over the summer! I
also have a German Shepherd named Finn. His favorite things to do are visit
the dog park and go for runs! I look forward to a fantastic year in fourth
grade!
