This assignment is designed to help you refine your research skills and your understanding of your subject matter you want to write your EE in.
- This will be the article you find after our meeting with the librarian. Choose an article which relates to what you think your HISTORY TOPIC will be. This article must be a minimum of five pages. Read and annotate the article and then find seven significant quotes. In one column, list the quotes. In another column, write a detailed response to these quotes. You must properly document the article and turn it in with the response.

This assignment is designed to help you refine your extended essay topic.
- Find another journal article on the same HISTORY TOPIC. Read and annotate the article and then find seven significant quotes. On a sheet of paper create 2 columns. In one column, list the quotes. In another column, write a detailed response to these quotes. You must properly document the article and turn it in with the response.
EE Assignment 3: Due Jan 6, 2012

EE Assignment 4: Due Jan. 23, 2012
- Find 3 primary sources on the same HISTORY TOPIC . You must print them out. Attached to each source, you must provide an analysis of the source, a brief summary of how you plan to use this source for your essay, and any biases this source might have. Provide the sources with the analysis.
EE Assignment 5: Due Feb. 6, 2012
This assignment is designed to help you refine your thesis statement.
- For HISTORY find two different books on the same topic. Provide brief summaries, then write an analytical argument on the strengths and weaknesses of these books. How do they differ? Why? Which book do you think is a more reliable source? This must be 2-3 pages. You must turn in the books with your assignment!
EE Assignment 6: Due Mar. 5, 2012
Specific Bibliography due for Extended Essay. This bibliography must have a minimum of 9 sources….on the bibliography, state how each source may be helpful for you and your essay.

- Two Journal articles (If I haven’t seen them, turn them in with your biblio)
- Four primary sources (turn them in with your biblio)
- Three books

Rough Draft due. Minimum length: 2500 words. See your teacher for specifications.

- 10 secondary sources, three of which must be journal articles and two of which must be books.
