We only have one more week left! This year has flown by! This will be the last newsletter of the year. Ms. Bridget and I want to thank you for the wonderful year. We had a lot of support and generosity shown to us and the class and we are very appreciative of it. We hope that everyone has a fun filled and relaxing summer.
Classroom Awards– We are having our classroom awards on Thursday, May 17that 1pm. We would love for the parents to come to class and see the awards program. Also if you have any pictures we could use for a slide show please
either email them or to me or burn a disk and send them in. I will need them by Tuesday, May 15thso I can put the slide show together. Since I wasn’t here all the time this year I don’t have many pictures.
Projects - The students have had a great time workingon their reports in class. Most of the student’s wrote their short reports and then typed them on the computer. They had fun working creating a poster about their animal. It was interesting to see their process to create their work. The students will present their projects on Monday.
Field Trip–Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time on the field trip. Some of their favorite things were feeding
the animals, especially when the giraffes stuck their heads in the windows. The emu’s eating off the railing
of the bus, and all of them loved the crazy baboon as they called him. Thank you to everyone who helped out by
chaperoning this trip.
Math –This week we learned about closed and open figures, polygons, right triangles, acute triangles, obtuse triangles, equilateral
triangles, isosceles triangles, and scalene triangles. We might work on a few math concepts next week also.
